The
Cybaman Replicator
– fully
automatic
computer-controlled component manipulation system,
software driven from CAD for 3D process work Developed
specifically for machining 3D components, it presents each
facet of a workpiece, to the cutting tool in an automatic
sequence. It combines in one machine, optical digitisation
and computer controlled robotic manipulation, to precisely
position a part to receive manufacturing operations, in
point to point mode or synchronised 6 axis continuous
paths. Designed for use with different process tools,
the
Replicator,
using C.N.C. control,
manipulates the
work-piece, against the process tool, enabling operations
such as machining, grinding, welding, optical inspection
or laser cladding to be carried out on any facet of its 3D
surface. Two versions of machine are available catering
for different component sizes.
The
Cybaman Replicator,
which has a
component
envelope of 300 x 300 x 300 and the
Cybaman Desktop Replicator designed
for Jewellery and
Biomedical applications or for holding very small
components (up to 125 x 125 x125) where fixturing and
process manipulation are a major problem. Designed for
high speed machining of plastics, wood, aluminium and even
light duty low speed cutting of steels the Replicator, can
be customised to suit your process application. It can be
fitted with multiple process or alternative tooling
options that include hi-speed machining or grinding,
welding-cutting torch or laser whichever is best suited to
your requirements.The
full system has the capability to precisely machine a
replica of a digitised object.
